iCAPITAL Investment Partners has announced that the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) has approved the registration of Enat Bank S.C.’s existing shares, marking the firm’s fifth successful regulatory registration in Ethiopia’s emerging capital market.

The approval adds Enat Bank to iCAPITAL’s growing portfolio of capital market advisory engagements, following similar registrations involving Awash Bank S.C., Zemen Bank S.C., Bunna Bank S.C., and Global Insurance Company S.C.

According to iCAPITAL, the latest milestone represents a significant step toward preparing Ethiopian companies and shareholders for participation in the country’s upcoming exchange era.

Through its advisory support, iCAPITAL has helped facilitate the registration of:

  • ETB 82.38 billion in subscribed capital
  • 141.07 million registered shares
  • 63,778 shareholders prepared for capital market participation

The firm said its continued work with financial institutions reflects the growing demand for transaction advisory services as Ethiopia develops its securities market infrastructure.

The registration of shares is part of the regulatory requirements established by the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority as the country moves toward a more structured and transparent capital market ecosystem.

With commercial banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions preparing for market participation, Ethiopia’s capital market is entering a new phase focused on improving access to investment opportunities and strengthening corporate finance mechanisms.
