Supported by the Financial Sector Deepening Ethiopia (FSDE) and developed in collaboration with Miella Technology PLC, this Academy marks a significant milestone in ESX’s mission to expand learning and trading opportunities in Ethiopia. The launch comes ahead of ESX’s market debut next month, reflecting the company’s commitment to creating a well-informed and thriving capital market ecosystem.
FSDE’s support has been instrumental in establishing the ESX Academy. Through their backing, ESX has engaged a consultancy firm to develop a cutting-edge digital learning platform and collaborated with subject matter experts to create comprehensive course modules. The initiative incorporates engaging module content, video tutorials, interactive quizzes, and a learning management system (LMS) that offers flexible, self-paced training.
This digital-first approach ensures accessible and convenient learning opportunities for a wide range of participants—from students to industry professionals—providing them with foundational knowledge about capital markets in Ethiopia.
The ESX Academy is designed to uphold ESX’s commitment to providing structured, continuous education on capital market concepts. It offers a wide range of courses tailored to various levels of expertise, from beginner to advanced. The Beginner Level, officially launched today, features a 10-module course covering essential topics such as:
- Introduction to capital markets,
- The functions of ESX and its technological infrastructure,
- Regulatory frameworks,
- Sharia-compliant products,
- Capital raising, and
- Investment strategies.
This introductory course is offered free of charge, and participants receive a certificate of completion upon successfully finishing all 10 modules.
