The Ministry of Trade and Regional Cooperation has announced new retail prices for petroleum products, effective today, following adjustments aligned with global oil market trends.
According to the Ministry, the revised prices took effect on 01 December 2018 EC at 12:00 PM, introducing changes to several fuel categories while keeping others unchanged.

Prices for aviation fuel, light black diesel, and heavy black diesel remain the same as in November. However, the retail prices of gasoline, white diesel, and kerosene have been increased.
The updated prices are as follows:
- Gasoline: 129.12 birr per liter
- White Diesel: 129.12 birr per liter
- Kerosene: 129.12 birr per liter
Tikvah Ethiopia further confirmed that Dr. Destawe Mekwanant, Director General of the Petroleum and Energy Authority, verified receipt of the new retail fuel price directive.
The adjustment reflects the government’s periodic pricing mechanism that responds to fluctuations in the international energy market.
